“Wake Me Up” wins prize for best music at Kinotavr

Just like a dream coming true: we are back from Kinotavr Open Russian Film Festival with a prize for best music!

More precisely the “TARIVERDIEV PRIZE FOR THE BEST FILM MUSIC” went to GIORGIO GIAMPA & IGOR VDOVIN for the film “Wake me up” by Guillaume Protsenko with the mention “For the exactness and accuracy of the intonations”

Thanks to all involved and particularly to Giorgio Giampa and Igor Vdovin for their work.

The screening in Sochi was the first presentation of the film to an audience and not long after the end of the projection we discovered the first reviews… And they are quite positive:

“A great and noble take at arthouse genre film.” Afisha.ru

“A real dream cast.” Hollywood Reporter Russia

“The most aesthetically complete film of the competition” Gazeta.ru

“The story isn’t only well told, it’s beautifully told as well.” Forbes.ru

Irina Verbitskaya made a big impression with her role of Zhenia in the film and was considered a favorite for the best actress prize, just as John Craine, our director of photography whose work didn’t remain unnoticed.
